Predictive Analytics Tool Remine Marries MLS Data to 'Big' Data

Remine, a predictive analytics solution featured in RETechnology’s 2017-18 Technology Guide, uses "big data" to help real estate agents identify likely buyers and sellers. Several forward-thinking organizations are in the process of launching the solution for their subscribers, including CRMLS, Realcomp, Bright MLS, HAR, NorthstarMLS, REcolorado, and many more. Let's take a look at how Remine will benefit you!

How Remine Works

Remine uses a potent combination of MLS data, consumer information, and public records to predict which consumers in your market are ready to buy or sell a home in the near future. The platform serves this information up via heat maps and other sophisticated visualizations to help Realtors® identify new leads.

In the sample image below, the agent is viewing sales opportunities according to the length of time a property has been owned. Remine displays this as a heat map, indicating homes that have recently been sold (and therefore less likely to go back on the market soon), and green representing homes with last sale dates several years in the past, indicating that they may be ripe for being listed soon.

Ownership time is just one of many filters offered by Remine, and the platform offers several other features for identifying prospects. Remine can also help real estate pros evaluate their existing contacts by scoring them according to who is likely to buy next.

Remine's transaction readiness predictions have a high accuracy rate (87%), according to the company. This achievement is due, in part, to the massive amount of data they analyze, which includes local traffic patterns, children in the home, owner life stage, energy consumption, homeowner social media profiles, live events (birth, marriage, divorce, etc.), and so much more.

Remine offers single sign-on (SSO) access from the MLS for a seamless user experience. It's also compatible with industry data APIs and more.

Realcomp is beta-testing Remine right now. Our beta-test period is scheduled to end on November 3, 2017. Stay tuned for more information about Remine.
