Maximize Your Listing Visibility: Mark Both Architecture Style and Architecture Level When Entering Your Listing into the MLS
When entering a property into the MLS system, every detail you provide helps ensure your listing reaches the widest possible audience. Two fields that play an especially important role in property searches are Architecture Style and Architecture Level.
Architecture Style refers to the design of the home (e.g., Ranch, Colonial, Cape Cod, etc.).
Architecture Level refers to the number of stories or how the home is structured (e.g., 1 Story, 1 Story Ground, 1 Story Up, Bi-Level, etc.).

Why is this important?
Many agents search for properties using one or both of these features. If your listing only has one field completed, it won’t appear in search results when someone filters by the other. For example:
A buyer’s agent may search specifically for Ranch homes.
Another may search by 1-Story Ground properties.
Some may search using both filters at the same time.
If you’ve filled out only one of these fields, your listing could be excluded from some search results—reducing its visibility and the chances of finding the right buyer quickly.
Action Steps:
For Listing Agents: When inputting a new listing, be sure to complete all fields that apply to your listing including the Architecture Level and Architecture Style fields. By doing this, you’ll maximize the chances of your listing appearing in all relevant search results.
When Searching the MLS: Knowing that not all listing may have been entered with both the Architecture Level and Architecture Style fields, be sure to perform 2 different searches -- one with your preferred Architecture Level (i.e., 1 Story Ground) and the other with the preferred Architecture Style (i.e., Ranch). Taking time to do this can make a big difference in finding all potential listings for your clients.
