Realcomp listings can now be accessed through Alexa voice-activated searches, providing a convenient way for consumers and other REALTORS® to access property data quickly and easily.

Users can now share their property "wish lists" with Alexa using natural language. Simply say the command "Alexa, start finding homes" to access matching properties and their details. Additionally, Alexa devices with screens will also display listing photos for a visually pleasing experience.

Initially designed to assist those with visual impairments, this innovative voice technology effectively conveys all the essential details that any potential buyer would want to know about a property, getting this information directly from the MLS.

Alexa, Amazon's cloud-based voice service, is accessible on over 100 million devices nationwide from Amazon and third-party manufacturers. As per Amazon, 25% of U.S. households already own at least one Alexa device.

This service makes single-family on-market Michigan listings of Realcomp Brokers and Agents available to consumers at no extra cost – an exclusive for Realcomp MLS Subscribers.

To begin exploring Realcomp listings using this technology, simply say "Alexa, start finding homes" into your device. Alexa will assist you from that point on!

1) Getting Started:
Use an Alexa device or download the Alexa app to your smart phone from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.


2) Alexa Search Commands:
Simply speak this command into your Alexa device or app:

  • "Alexa, start finding homes"

She will ask you to provide additional information from there. Alexa understands natural language and situational needs, which make for intuitive and precise search results. Here are some examples:

  • “I’m looking for a ranch home, all on one level, that will allow me to easily navigate it with my walker.”
  • “I love to cook and would like to have a gourmet kitchen.”
