Brokers have control over the access, use and distribution of their listings. Therefore we have partnered with Point2Agent to provide a powerful syndication tool. We also provide RETS access to brokerage data or full MLS data for back office systems, IDX and VOW data access for websites, and even vendor access to brokerage data but ONLY for that data where the broker has given permission.

1. SYNDICATION
   Realcomp has partnered with Point2Agent to provide Realcomp Brokers and Agents (w/broker permission) with a powerful and FREE syndication tool for the distribution and promotion of their listings. Point2Agent provides an online office where you can see what traffic your listings are getting on each site that you've sent them to. 2. FTP DATA EXTRACTS and RETS DATA ACCESS
   As of November 2010, Realcomp will no longer set up new FTP data extracts and all existing FTP extracts must switch over to RETS by 12/31/2011. All new data requests will be processed for RETS access.
   
   The RETS server data is updated virtually real-time and you can access the RETS server throughout the day for updates while the FTP server data was only updated once a day. With the RETS server data filtering, security, monitoring and control are improved over FTP and data changes are available immediately through metadata. With FTP, data filtering had to be done programmatically during the creation of the data files and file layout changes had to be communicated in advance via separate methods such as on a website or email.

   Realcomp can make Brokerage MLS data available via RETS for any subscribing broker. Often this data is used to populate a brokerage website or for use in a back office application. 2. FULL DATA ACCESS
   Realcomp can make the full MLS data feed available via RETS for any subscribing broker for use in a back office application. This access agreement does not allow for the online publication or distribution of this data in any way. 3. IDX DATA ACCESS
   As you probably know, IDX or Internet Data Exchange, allows for participating brokers to advertise other participating brokers listings on their own websites. Realcomp can make the IDX data feed available via RETS for any subscribing broker for use on their IDX website. 4. VOW DATA ACCESS
   A VOW or Virtual Office Website is a participant’s Internet website, or a feature of a participant’s website, through which the participant is capable of providing real estate brokerage services to consumers with whom the participant has first established a broker-consumer relationship where the consumer has the opportunity to search MLS listing information, subject to the participant’s oversight, supervision, and accountability. 5. VENDOR DATA ACCESS
   Oftentimes brokers will contract with third party vendors to put the brokerage's MLS listings on the vendor's website or for the use of the vendor's software with the brokerage's MLS listing data. Realcomp provides data access to numerous third party vendors on behalf of brokers. We only allow access to a broker's data by a vendor if that broker has specifically given Realcomp permission to do so.
