Straight Talk - May 2008
Many of you attended the Realcomp Tools of the Trade Show held in Dearborn on April 10th. The show was a great success and we shared some exciting updates of some new services that will be implemented in coming weeks and months.
The first is the brand new offering of ShowingDesk Web Edition™ to all Subscribing offices. See page two (2) for more details regarding this exciting offering. The second new service is the Realcomp Photo Library. This replaces our primary MLS photo service, and includes the creation of a digital photo library using a product called StreetScape.
This very valuable photo library will initially include photos of all properties within Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Wayne and St. Clair counties that are viewable from any public road. These photos will then be attached to the public record data properties so that when you inquire on an address in public record data in one of these counties, a photo will be present. And, not just any photo! These are high resolution and density with multiple formats and panoramic views. This will also include photos of schools, parks, commercial districts and area attractions. Watch for more information about the launch of this exciting new photo library later this year.
We are also pleased to announce that we have expanded our agreement with First American Core Logic to begin developing a public record database for the entire lower peninsula of Michigan. Effective immediately, we will begin adding up to sixteen new counties of data each year and anticipate completion of this project by the end of 2010. Realcomp REALTORS® will have access to the most complete database of Michigan real property available. This will be used as a foundation as we continue to bring you more MLS data as well.
We feel these are three great additions to our service offerings. I want to know what you think! You can reach me by email or by phone at 248.699.9120.
