In January, the Realcomp II Ltd. Board of Governors met to develop a plan for 2008. The meeting was facilitated by Jim Sherry, President of Innovative Solutions. Jim has been active in the real estate industry for over twenty years and is a widely known and respected industry personality. Much of what Realcomp will be doing throughout the year is dictated by the economy. However, there is still a great need to look strategically at what Realcomp can and should do on behalf of our REALTOR® Subscribers.

Here are a few of the goals that your Board will be focused on accomplishing:

Perform an MLS Function Check
This involves researching enhancement opportunities for our MLS system, Realcomp Online® and additional complementary product and service possibilities. From there, we will make recommendations to insure that our services continue to provide you with a competitive advantage in the market and enable you to remain ahead of the technological curve.

Build and Offer a Broker Service Center
This starts by understanding the various services needed by area brokerages that might be more efficiently offered as a service of Realcomp. Specific emphasis will be given to those services that will improve the broker’s efficiency, reduce costs and keep the brokerages and agents vital to consumers.

MLS Consolidation
The Realcomp Board will develop an overall strategy in order to facilitate the consolidation of this natural market’s MLS services into one service. This is an ongoing strategy.

Perform an Extensive Member Survey
This involves knowing and understanding our subscribers. Further, we will attempt to gain insight into the needs of the subscriber base and determine if any of your vital needs can be provided by Realcomp.

These are just a few of the specific objectives established by the Realcomp Board for 2008. We will continue to focus on bringing you the best services possible!
