You may have noticed recently that we have been requesting your help in getting out some “Good News” stories to the media. Much of what we read these days regarding the real estate industry has been filled with anything but positive messages. We want to change that.

In February, our statistics showed an increase in the number of sales over the previous month. Our Marketing Team immediately sent out a media alert to inform our local newspapers, radio stations, television stations and other media sources of this important update. As a result, we had several articles published that accurately portrayed this “Good News”. There were some reporters, however, that still managed to focus on any negative they could find. Unfortunately, we will never be able to completely keep this from happening.

Here is what we can do – we are working to educate the public that now is a great time to buy a home. Soon, you will begin to see and hear the various ways we will be communicating this message. We have new radio ads that will begin in April. These ads will run on four different stations in an attempt (239373) to reach as many consumers as possible. The messages are consistent – “There has never been a better time to buy a home!” and “Make sure you contact a REALTOR^® for all of your real estate buying and selling needs!”.

Additionally, we have scheduled a REALTOR^® Rally to be held on Friday, April 20th at the Star AMC Southfield. We have a great speaker lined up and will introduce you to the “REALTOR^® Brand Awareness Campaign”. You will receive a copy of Realcomp’s “Positive Communications Toolbox Messages” that we feel confident will help you deliver positive messages when working with your clients.
