From the Desk of Karen Kage (01/28/13)

Yes, it’s 2013! It sure seems that the New Year comes quicker every year than the year before. This is a great opportunity to share with you some of our accomplishments from 2012 and what we look forward to in 2013. 2012 was a very busy year. Our greatest accomplishment was the roll out of RCO3® in November. We know that change can be difficult. This new MLS program has generated a great deal of feedback – most of it being very positive. We look forward to adding more modules to RCO3 over the course of the next few months, expanding your access to MLS-related tools! Read on to learn more about these!

Customer Care: In 2012, our Customer Care Team responded to over 40,000 customer calls! Our goal remains to be able to answer your questions or provide a solution to you during your initial call. In addition, many of our subscribers choose to ask their questions through emailed feedback messages. We responded to over 3,000 feedback messages in 2012. Keep your questions coming – we love hearing from you.

Training: In 2012, we trained over 3,300 subscribers. Many who attended were new and came to learn about MLS basics. We also ended the year with several classes on RCO3®. Make sure you continue to take advantage of the classes we offer. There is no additional cost to take these classes and you can attend as often as you like or need.

Staff: I hope that you have noticed the amazing Team we have here at Realcomp. Our Team is comprised of professional and dedicated individuals, who not only care about each other, but also care about you (our customers)! As with any year, we faced many challenges in 2012 while continuing to move initiatives forward to ensure your success. We remain focused on doing this in 2013 as well!

IT Operations: In 2012, we launched RCO3®. In addition, we rolled out version 2 of Realist and new security software. While RCO3® and Realist2 were greeted with more appreciation than the new SafeMLS security gateway, it really is an important piece to our platform of programs. Since the release of RCO3® and the SafeMLS Gateway, there have been more than 11,184 unique logins through the gateway and over 7,900 unique logins into RCO3®. We are very encouraged by your adoption of these new applications.

So, what’s in store for 2013? Take a look:

RCO3®: The next release of RCO3® will include new statistical reports. This will put the ability of creating accurate and visually appealing reports, including charts and graphs, in your hands -- one more benefit you can provide to your customers and clients. Additionally, the consumer portal will be expanded to offer even more options to you and your clients. Watch for updates regarding a release date sometime in the second quarter.

Customer Care: We are looking at new and better ways of giving you greater access to support and answers for your questions. We are currently testing a live chat program that we will be releasing in the near future. We will keep you informed of our progress on this exciting new feature.

IT Operations: We will be releasing RPR (Realtors Property Resource) from NAR in the second quarter. This application will give you access to different reports and additional information that you will be able to provide to your customers. We will also be releasing CoreLogic’s Data Co-op. This application will also give you access to additional reports, including public record data from the same source as you currently get with RCO3® and Realcomp Online® (Classic). This is also expected to be released in the second quarter. Watch for presentations to be available on both products at Realcomp's Tools of the Trade REALTOR® Expo (mentioned below).

There will be more updates on what 2013 will offer once Realcomp’s new Board of Governors has completed their Strategic Planning process for the year. We will keep you updated of their plans and our progress, so make sure you continue to read the MLS Tech Trends e-newsletter.

Plans for our Annual “Tools of the Trade REALTOR® Expo” are Underway: An excellent program is coming together to make this year’s event better than ever! "Save the Date" (and additional info below) and watch for more details to be announced soon.
